Rajya Sabha adjourned till 1400hrs amid uproar by Samajwadi Party

New Delhi, Feb 12: The proceedings of Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 1400 hrs following an uproar by Samajwadi Party members.
The chaos erupted during ‘Zero Hour’ when SP member Ram Gopal Yadav rose to speak stating there was something urgent. Soon he was joined by party members-- Neeraj Shekhar and Akhilesh Singh.
Turning down their requests, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said, “I will not allow anyone to speak without notice”.
But both Mr Yadav and Mr Singh stuck to their demand with the former saying he had something urgent to discuss.
They wanted to raise the matter of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav being barred from boarding an aircraft without a written order this morning.
Unfazed by the uproar by the SP members, Mr Naidu referred to an ‘understanding’ among all parties to run the House few minutes before in the business advisory committee.
When the SP members refused to relent, the Chair and kept on speaking on a high pitch, Mr Naidu adjourned the House till 1400 hrs.
Mr Yadav tweeted this morning that he was prevented from boarding the airplane without any written orders and he was detained at Lucknow airport.
