Deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi today claimed that RJD led grand alliance in Bihar would not be able to get a single seat in Lok Sabha election.
Mr Modi told newspersons here that Bihar was going to be a walkover for NDA and asserted that the difference of vote share between NDA and Grand Alliance would be 20 per cent. He said NDA, which contested 2009 Lok Sabha election with JD (U) and 2014 Lok Sabha election with Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) had bagged nearly 11 per cent more votes than United Progressive Alliance (UPA).
Mr Modi said that since NDA was contesting election with both JD (U) and LJP, the difference of vote share between NDA and UPA was going to increase to 20 percent.
When BJP and JD (U) had contested 2009 Lok Sabha election together, NDA had got 32 seats, he said, adding that RJD and LJP were in alliance but bagged only four seats by securing 26 per cent votes in that election.
The deputy chief minister said in 2014 Lok Sabha election, BJP and LJP had contested election jointly and secured 39.41 percent of votes and emerged victorious on 31 seats. He said UPA had secured only 29 per cent votes in last Lok Sabha election even as JD (U) which had contested election without any alliance secured 16 percent votes.
Mr Modi said if vote share of NDA in 2014 Lok Sabha election was added to that of JD (U) in last election, the vote share of NDA jumped to 52.41 percent votes, nearly 22 percent higher than grand alliance. In such a situation, grand alliance is not going to open its account in this parliamentary election.
