Madhya Pradesh’s Congress dispensation drew heavy flak on Tuesday – vis-a-vis issues such as electricity, law and order plus security of women – from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President and erstwhile chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who accused it of converting the state into one ravaged by adversity.
“The government that is unable to decide who should be the capital’s Collector shall not be able to run an administration. Administrative anarchy prevails and bids are being made for bureaucrats. The BJP will launch an agitation against the power crisis. Girls are unsafe outside the confines of their dwellings and Home Minister Bala Bachchan is observed only issuing statements. During my regime, Gwalior and Chambal divisions were freed of dacoits but bandits have commenced gathering again in the forests of Chambal. Tribal folk are being harassed in my area and I shall agitate against that,” he averred during an interaction with the press.
