Rouhani reaffirms Iranian commitment to international campaign against terrorism

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday reaffirmed Iranian commitment to the international campaign against terrorism, saying that Iran as a powerful state helped stem expansion of terrorism.
President Rouhani made the remarks through a speech to the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) underway in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Iran as a powerful obstacle to the Takfiri terrorism in Iraq and Syria has played a leading role in ensuring peace and stability in both world and region, the president said.
Iran’s foreign policy is based on cooperation and win-win approach, and the country is ready to draft bilateral, multilateral political, security mechanisms, he said according to the website of the president.
The president further talked of the regional developments, saying the humanitarian crisis in Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Yemen is the outcome of the US policies.
Ho noted that achieving an acceptable level of peace, stability and development in today's world require development of regional cooperation and dialogue,
“The foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is based on cooperation, synergy, and finding ways to achieve common interests, mutual benefit, and in one word, a win-win policy.”
“Within the same framework, the Islamic Republic of Iran considers cooperation with regional countries and using the mechanism of multilateral dialogue within the framework of CICA summits very effective, fruitful and essential."
The Iranian president said the CICA, during the new presidency, will continue to promote dialogue and cooperation among member states in order to realize the goals of the conference, and strengthen its role in the peace and stability of the region and the world.
