Describing the decision to abrogate Article 370 as a justified measure for Jammu and Kashmir’s populace, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar averred on Monday that the existence of that Article boosted Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and separatism in India’s northernmost state.
“Citizens dwelling in Jammu and Kashmir shall henceforward enjoy the same rights as counterparts in the rest of the country. A chapter of development will be scripted in that state,” the visiting politician told the press at the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Madhya Pradesh’s commercial capital.
