New Delhi, Aug 21 : The Supreme Court on Wednesday did not give immediate relief to former finance minister P Chidambaram in the INX media corruption case saying the matter be referred to Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi for considering urgent listing.
Justice N V Ramana refused to give urgent hearing mentioning by counsels of Chidambaram seeking relief for him in the case.
He refused to give an urgent hearing in the matter presented by Kapil Sibal, the lawyer for Chidambaram.
The court rejected Sibal's plea saying that no coercive action be taken till appeal is heard.
On Tuesday, Chidambaram had moved the Apex Court after the Delhi High Court dismissed his anticipatory bail plea in the alleged corruption and money-laundering in the case.
The court said facts prima facie reveal that he is the kingpin, the key conspirator, in the case.
