PM Modi says Global Investment Meet at Dharamshala will attract major investments

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday lauded the efforts of the State Government for well organising mega event of Global Investment Meet here, which was attended by nearly 1800 investors including 200 foreign investors.
He hoped that major investments will pour in the state which he feels as his home.
Prime Minister said that relaxation from the red-tapism and other official apathies will attract lot of investment in this state. He said that people of this hill state were honest, sincere and hard working which will prove as a boon for the investors here. He said that India was a fertile soil for the foreign investments.
Mr Modi presided over the inaugural session of Rising Himachal Global Investors’ Meet (GIM) here today.
He was received at SAI ground by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Cabinet Ministers, former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar, Member of Parliament Kishan Kapoor welcomed the Prime Minister. Brand Ambassador for Investors’ Meet and famous Bollywood actress Yami Gautam presented Himachali cap and shawl, a symbol of respect on behalf of the people of the State, to Prime Minister at the venue.
Local performers dressed in colourful traditional attire amidst the soothing sound of traditional musical instruments also welcomed the Prime Minister to the ‘abode of the Gods’.
Prime Minister accompanied by the Governor and Chief Minister went ar ound the exhibition stall and envisaged keen interest in it. Chief Secretary Dr Shrikant Baldi briefed the Prime Minister regarding the
exhibition.
On this occasion, Prime Minister also released the Coffee Table Book ‘Investors Haven Rising Himachal’.
