New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday hit out at the BJP, and said it is bringing a discriminatory bill at a time when it is also celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Ms Vadra said,'At a time when the BJP is celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with such fanfare, they are also bringing a discriminatory bill that is shattering the soul of the Constitution. The Congress will fight the divisive agenda of the BJP with all its strength.'
Ms Vadra also poster her mother and Congress president Sonia Gandhi's statement that said "today marks a dark day in the Constitutional history of India".
Ms Gandhi had said in her statement that the passage of the bill marks the victory of 'narrow minded and bigoted forces over India's pluralism'.
