Optimum Use Of Solar Energy Necessary In View Of Growing Danger Of Pollution: Nitish

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today stressed on the need for maximum use of energy in view of growing threat of pollution.
After inspecting mini solar energy grids set up at Champapur and Raghia villages and execution of scheme for electricity to each household under Tharu tribal dominated Ramnagar block area in West Champaran district, Mr Kumar said that the danger of pollution was growing rapidly in the present day time and in such a situation, optimum use of solar energy had become necessary. He said that the rise in pollution could be lowered with the use of solar energy.
Mr Kumar said that with the use of solar energy, electricity could be provided to the people at the cheaper rate. Several countries across the world have started focusing on exploiting the potential of solar energy and using it to the fullest, he added.
Expressing his happiness over supply of solar power to Tharu dominated villages, CM said that it would strengthen the path of growth in these backward villages.
Mr Kumar also inspected stalls set up at Champapur government primary school by the district administration on various development schemes being implemented in the district. The stalls depicted various activities of transport, agriculture, health and social welfare departments and also that of district registration and counselling centre.
State energy minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, chief secretary Deepak Kumar, divisional commissioner, district magistrate Dr Nilesh Ramchandra Devre and other officers were present on the occasion.
