Five pro-Hindu activists, affiliated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), were arrested for throwing stones at the Badriya Mosque in Katipalla, located on the outskirts of Mangaluru, Karnataka.
The attack occurred on the eve of the Eid-e-Milad festival around 10:30 pm when four miscreants on two bikes threw stones at the mosque, shattering its windows.
Local residents gathered near the site, and police were deployed to maintain order. The Mangaluru Police Commissioner confirmed the arrests and stated that the situation remains peaceful and under control, though further investigation is ongoing.
