Salman Rushdie attacker sentenced to 25 years in prison

A court in New York issued the verdict against the assailant of salman Rushdie, the author who insulted the sanctity of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The report states that Hadi Matar,27,who attacked Salman Rushdie with a knife during a public lecture at the Chautauqua Institution in New York State in 2022,stabbing him multiple times,appeared in court today for sentencing and was handed a 25-year prison term.
This ruling comes after a jury found Matar guilty of attempted murder and assault this past February.
Following Hadi Matar’s attack on Salman Rushdie—author of the controversial book “The Satanic Verses”—American media reported that Rushdie lost vision in one eye due to the assault.
