Israeli media says at least four people have been killed and over 70 others injured in Iran’s full-scale missile attacks at the heart of the occupied territories as part of the Islamic Republic’s retaliatory Operation True Promise III against the illegal entity.
The Jerusalem Post reported on Saturday that two people were killed and 21 injured as a result of a direct Iranian missile strike on residential buildings in the central part of Israel.
Previous reports said that two women died in a hospital from sustained wounds.
Israeli media also published on Saturday morning photos revealing the extent of the destruction caused by strikes on Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv after overnight Iranian missile strikes.
The images showed apartment blocks completely destroyed and the wreckage of several vehicles among the debris.
This is while the regime’s air force claimed to have intercepted barrages of Iranian ballistic missiles fired by the Islamic Republic in retaliation for Israel’s aggression on various civilian areas and residential neighborhoods in the capital Tehran and some other major cities.
During Operation True Promise III, hundreds of missiles were fired by Iran on Friday evening and successfully breached the Israeli regime’s much-touted multi-layered air defense system.
Speaking to state television early on Saturday, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, a senior advisor to the chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), said the all-out operation was successfully implemented by the IRGC aerospace division and hit several Israeli targets in the occupied territories.
‘Vahidi said the Nevatim and Ovda airbases, in which the Israeli regime’s command and control center and electronic warfare center are located, have been targeted in Iran’s attack, adding that those two bases were used as origins of aggression against Iran.
The other sites struck by the IRGC included Tel Nof airbase near Tel Aviv, the Israeli regime’s ministry of military affairs, as well as its industrial and military centers in Tel Aviv.
Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, and at least six Iranian nuclear scientists were martyred in the regime’s onslaught in the early hours of Friday.
In a stark warning that the occupying regime will receive a severe punishment for the aggression, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said, “With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter, painful fate, which it will definitely see.”
