Russian President Vladimir Putin stated today that sanctions against Russia are hazardous and carry consequences. However, he emphasized that these sanctions will not impact the country’s economy.
He added, “Russia is a nation that respects itself and never yields under pressure.”
Putin declared, “If attacks against our country occur using Tomahawk missiles, our response will be severe. Equipping ukraine with these missiles would be a provocative escalation.”
“Our reaction to any attack on our nation will be very serious and forceful,” he affirmed.
Regarding former U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks about a Budapest summit, Putin said: “Trump proposed holding a summit in Budapest during our last conversation, but attending an unprepared meeting would be a mistake. The new U.S. sanctions represent an attempt to pressure Russia. A meeting with Trump requires readiness, and we seek to continue dialog.”
