Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of Russia’s National Security Council, stated that the West is actively trying to break Russia into multiple smaller states to dominate them.
Shoigu emphasized that Western efforts to portray the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union as occupying and colonial powers are destined to fail.
He added that the primary mission of Moscow’s current government is to strengthen peace among various ethnic groups within the country.
Shoigu also highlighted that unlike the United States’ “melting pot” approach, which erases unique national identities, Russia serves as a model for interethnic relations.
