Tehran: Participants in nationwide rallies marking the 47th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution voiced full support for the country’s diplomats and military officials, saying the two must work in synergy.
The final resolution of the February 11 (Bahman 22) rallies, endorsed by demonstrators in Tehran and other cities, said officials in both sectors are representatives of the nation and have the full support of the people, stressing that the current period calls for coordination between military strength and diplomatic engagement.
The resolution said the rallies reflected national unity, political maturity, and vigilance against what it described as growing external pressure and hybrid warfare, particularly by the United States, the Israeli regime, and their allies. It referred to recent regional tensions, saying that Iran and the Axis of Resistance have demonstrated resilience in the face of imposed conflicts.
Participants reiterated their commitment to the ideals of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, including independence, justice and resistance to domination, and reaffirmed loyalty to the path of the founder of the Revolution – the late Imam Khomeini – and to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
The statement said Iranians support diplomacy conducted within the framework of dignity, wisdom and expediency, while also backing the country’s defensive capabilities.
The resolution praised Iranian Armed Forces and security institutions for maintaining stability and security, and condemned moves by the European Union to label the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
It also criticized the US and the Israeli regime for their policies in the region and called for accountability over actions affecting regional security, particularly in Palestine and the Gaza Strip.
