The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement has carried out two separate missile operations against strategic Israeli military installations in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights and the Israeli-usurped territories.
Hezbollah said in a statement that it struck the Meron air surveillance and operations management base in the Israeli-occupied territories in the early hours of Tuesday.
It added that the operation was in response to the criminal acts of aggression by Israel that affected dozens of Lebanese cities and towns, including the southern suburb of Beirut.
The group stated that the missile attack targeted one of the radars and a command building.
Additionally, Hezbollah said it has fired a large volley of rockets at the Nafah base in the occupied Golan Heights, which serves as the headquarters of the 210th Basha Division of the Israeli army.
Hezbollah says strikes on Israel ‘legitimate' defensive reaction
Meanwhile, Hezbollah said its launch of missile and drone attacks against a military base south of Haifa in the Israeli-occupied territories was a "legitimate defensive reaction" in response to the ongoing Israeli acts of aggression.
"The Israeli regime's aggressions have been going on for the past 15 months in the forms of massacre, demolition, ethnic cleansing and various types of atrocities. No political or diplomatic initiative has been able to halt the brutalities, and commit the Israeli regime to observe the ceasefire agreement and its relevant obligations," the movement said in a statement late on Monday.
It added that the aggressions have gone repeatedly unanswered, stressing that the Israeli campaign of assassinations and destruction needs to be stopped, stressing it is imperative to seriously and effectively utilize all available means to halt the crimes.
Hezbollah further noted that incessant Israeli acts of aggression cannot be justified under any pretexts, reiterating that therefore confrontation is a legitimate reaction.
It noted that what the resistance movement did was in retaliation for Israeli attacks on Lebanon's national resources, and fell within the framework of “ensuring public security and stability as well as securing Lebanese soil.”
Hezbollah pointed out that its missile and drone strikes on the Israeli military base south of Haifa was a legitimate defensive step, urging Lebanese authorities to take concrete measures to stop Israeli acts of aggression which are to blame for all crises facing Lebanon.
Earlier, Hezbollah said in a statement that a missile site of the Israeli army south of Haifa was attacked by the resistance movement’s missiles in retaliation for the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and in order to defend Lebanon and its people in the face of the Zionist regime's repeated acts of aggression.
The resistance leaders emphasize, Hezbollah said, that continuation of Israeli acts of aggression and assassinations of "our leaders, youth and people give us the right to defend ourselves and respond at the appropriate time and place.”
The Israeli regime launched attacks on Lebanon following the start of terrorist aggression, jointly by the US, against Iran on Saturday.
