Tehran: Iran’s Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni‑Ejei has rejected US President Donald Trump’s claims regarding the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that the owner and ruler of the strait is the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In a Saturday post on X, Mohseni‑Ejei reacted to Trump’s claim that the United States might soon declare the Strait of Hormuz as US “territory,” saying the American president’s remarks stem from delusions and stressing that the Islamic Republic of Iran is the owner and ruler of this strategic waterway.
He added that Iran has already proven on the military front that the strait is an inseparable part of Iran’s territorial and sovereign domain and that any adventurism will be met with decisive destruction of the aggressor.
