Trump: Pace of Tariff Reductions Depends on China’s Conduct

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the pace of tariff reductions depends on China’s approach to engagement.
He added that a decision regarding tariffs imposed on China will be made within the next two or three weeks.
Trump emphasized, “The revenue from these tariffs will be used to reduce taxes for the American people.”
He also said, “In tariff-related agreements, we will deal fairly with all countries.”
Referring to his relationship with China’s president, Trump noted, “My relationship with the Chinese president is very good, and I believe we can reach an agreement.”
In another part of his remarks, Trump commented on the war in Ukraine: “Five thousand Russian and Ukrainian soldiers are dying every week—this situation is tragic.”
He further stated: “Russia is ready for an agreement, but so far, reaching a deal with zelenskyy has not been possible.”
