RSS, BJP sabotage move to install Dr Ambedkar’s state in Gwalior HC: Congress

New Delhi: Congress today said that the RSS and the BJP had sabotaged a move to install the statue of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar in the Gwalior High Court complex despite administrative clearance.
The party said that it was a deliberate conspiracy to create caste conflict in the country.
Addressing a press conference at the AICC headquarters here today, the Congress in-charge for Madhya Pradesh Harish Chaudhary, State President Jitu Patwari, Leader of Opposition in MP Assembly Umang Singhar and MLA Phool Singh Baraiya remarked that this move of the BJP-RSS revealed that they were not only against the Constitution, but also against Dr Ambedkar and Dalits.
Harish Chaudhary said that despite getting administrative approval, not allowing the statue of Dr Ambedkar to be installed at the Gwalior High Court is a well-thought-out strategy of RSS and the BJP. He alleged that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, was against the Dalits of the country, Baba Saheb Ambedkar, and the Constitution. He emphasised that Baba Saheb does not belong to any particular class but to the whole country for providing everyone with rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
State MP Congress President Jitu Patwari said that with the permission of the High Court to install the statue of Baba Saheb, the process had been completed. Despite this, he added, the installation was stopped due to pressure from the BJP-RSS, which is a matter of great concern. He said that those who are creating obstacles in the installation of the statue should be held accountable for it, and they should apologise.
