The secretary general of Hezbollah has praised the unity and courage demonstrated by the Iranian nation and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in the face of Israeli-American aggression against the country.
In remarks published on Monday, the leader of the Lebanese resistance movement, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said the Islamic Republic "is entitled to its rights as it has been subjected to aggression," referring to the Israeli-American attacks against the country since June 13.
“Iran has a brave Leader who is determined to make it honorable and powerful,” he said, adding that the Iranian people “have put aside their differences to stand united in confronting Israeli and US acts of aggression.”
On June 13, Israel launched unprovoked and indiscriminate aggression on Iran, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians.
In response, the Iranian armed forces, backed by the Iranian government and people, carried out retaliatory strikes under Operation True Promise III, inflicting heavy blows on the regime.
Teetering on the brink of defeat, the Israeli regime had Americans cover up for it with a series of strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites in Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow on Sunday.
The aggression, according to observers, amounts to a grave violation of the United Nations Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Naim Qassem stressed that Hezbollah does not remain neutral between Iran’s legitimate rights and the American and Israeli deceits.
“The US is leading the region toward chaos and instability, and the world toward open crises,” he stated. “Iran has the right to defend itself, and the people of the region and the free people of the world have the right to stand with the great Leader and with Iran in the same trench,” he noted.
The Hezbollah chief also affirmed that Hezbollah will act as it deems appropriate in the face of the Israeli-American aggression on Iran.
