Ireland: Israel and Its Arms Supporters Must Be Expelled from the United Nations

The President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins,stated that Israel and the countries arming it should be expelled from the United Nations,according to webangah News Agency’s English service reporting from Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency.
He added, “We must no longer hesitate to end trade with those responsible for these crimes against humanity.”
President Higgins criticized powerful European Union countries for remaining silent in the face of suffering and hunger endured by emaciated children amid a humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
Earlier, Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin emphasized the need to increase international pressure on Israel to stop its attacks on Gaza. He said,”The UN report clearly shows that genocide is occurring,and Israel must be held accountable.”
Prime Minister Martin also referred to Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz’s statement that Gaza City is “burning,” questioning what mindset guides the decisions of Israel’s cabinet.
The United Nations independent International Commission of Inquiry announced on Tuesday that the Israeli regime has committed genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. The commission officially used the term genocide in its findings.
The report stated that Israeli authorities and affiliated actors have carried out five acts constituting genocide in Gaza. Over a two-year period, Israel has pursued this campaign aimed at eradicating Palestinians by imposing starvation on Gaza.Sixty thousand pieces of evidence supporting these claims have been collected.
