Former Mossad head Yossi Cohen says the Israeli regime's spy agency has planted “manipulated equipment” across the globe to spy on and target individuals, including American citizens, warning that even “verbal anti-Semitism” could make someone a target.
In an interview on The Brink Podcast, Cohen bragged that the occupying entity’s intelligence agencies developed surveillance and sabotage tools between 2002 and 2004 to spy on individuals and “take [them] out” if Tel Aviv considered even “verbal anti-Semitism” as an “existential threat.”
These devices, he said, were embedded in supply chains around the world and can both collect data on users and physically strike targets. He stressed the network of “treated” equipment now spans “every country you can think of.”
“You know how much ‘treated’ equipment we have in those countries now? You can’t imagine—but I know. That’s an immense level of intelligence. I didn’t sleep for 38 years because of it. That’s what I did day and night, every single day, for more than 38 years, counting my military service,” Cohen said.
The former Mossad chief from 2016 to 2021 also admitted that despite these advanced espionage capabilities, Israel failed to prevent the October 7, 2023, attack by Hamas because its intelligence in the besieged Gaza Strip was “poor.”
“If we had that kind of equipment, we would have known something about the coming attack,” he noted.
Cohen also said that he personally requested to oversee intelligence gathering in Gaza but was blocked by other agencies.
Describing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the former Mossad chief said the Israeli leader’s “self-confidence borders on arrogance.”
Netanyahu lacks empathy toward the public and has weak chemistry with regional leaders, Cohen emphasized, stressing that prolonged attachment to power “corrupts the soul and drains the spirit of those around him.”
Beyond surveillance, Cohen warned that Israel is prepared to “take out” US citizens or others it deems responsible for “anti-Semitism” that threatens its existence.
He also described how Israel’s media strategy also faltered internationally, citing a 54-to-1 ratio of pro-Palestinian to pro-Israeli content on platforms like TikTok.
Back in September 2024, dozens of people, including children, were killed, and 4,000 others suffered injuries due to Israel’s deadly pager and walkie-talkie explosions. The casualties included many members of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.
The blasts maimed a considerable number of the victims, largely with eye and limb injuries.
The atrocity came as part of the Israeli regime’s deadly aggression against Lebanon, which killed at least 3,130 Lebanese people before it ended in November 2024 after a ceasefire was reached.
