Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP wants to rig the electoral roll and the SIR process is the same as the NRC (National Register of Citizens).
“The fight to save democracy continues and Samajwadi Party leaders and workers must remain vigilant. There is a difference of four crore votes between the Central Election Commission’s electoral roll and the State Election Commission’s voter list. Now they should explain which list is correct,” he questioned while asking the party workers that the 2027 assembly elections must be fought like the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Yadav was addressing a large number of party workers from various districts of the state at the Samajwadi Party state headquarters here on Friday.
He said that the BJP is not a political party but a gang and has become a nexus of industrialists and retired officers.
“The BJP and RSS have seized control of all resources and the BJP is looting the rights of the people. The Samajwadi Party has the strength of the people, and the people trust the SP. This trust must be maintained. When the Samajwadi Party forms the government, it must live up to the people’s trust,” he said.
He further said that SP is committed to strengthening the PDA (Pichda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak ) movement and establishing social justice. The BJP is rattled by the Samajwadi Party’s agenda of social justice and that is why the BJP gang is hell-bent on hatching conspiracies, he added.
