Iranian Army says oil tanker enters territorial waters amid US blockade

Tehran: Iran’s Army has announced that the Iranian oil tanker, Sili City, has entered the country’s territorial waters under the operational protection of the Navy.
The Army said in a statement on Tuesday that despite repeated warnings and threats from US naval forces, the tanker safely transited the Arabian Sea and reached Iranian waters overnight.
The statement added that the vessel is now securely anchored at one of Iran’s southern ports after completing its journey under full naval protection.
US President Donald Trump imposed a naval blockade on Iran on April 12, four days after a two-week ceasefire took effect between the two sides.
On Monday, the US military seized a commercial Iranian vessel, Touska, claiming that it had breached the blockade.
