Tehran: Leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement Abdulmalik al-Houthi says the Israeli regime’s latest assassination drive will not change the political and popular stance of the Arab country.
In a televised address on Saturday, Al-Houthi was referring to the martyrdom of Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi and a number of his ministerial colleagues in an Israeli airstrike on Thursday.
Offering condolences to the families of the martyrs and the Yemeni nation, he emphasized the Ansarullah Movement’s steadfastness in its positions on regional developments, especially the ongoing Israeli genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The Ansarullah leader said that most of the slain ministers and officials were active in civilian sectors, which was not a surprise as “the criminal and brutal Israeli regime targets not only Yemeni officials, but also civilians, children and defenseless women in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Iran.”
Saying that Israel harbors “unconditional hostility toward humanitarian and international principles,” he underscored that the regime has no adherence to laws, obligations, and principles, and all its behavior shows violence and aggression.
He also referred to the danger posed by Israel to the entire region, saying that the regime’s crimes in the Gaza Strip require a serious response.
Elsewhere in his speech, Al-Houthi pointed to the resilience of the Yemeni nation and their resolve to fight against aggressors and occupiers. “We know that this path comes with sacrifice, but these sacrifices never cause weakness; they rather bring stability, certainty, and determination”, he said
He clarified further that the Yemeni people believe in freedom and independence, contrary to the Israeli plot to dominate and occupy nations, saying, “The real loss is for those who submit to Israeli domination.”
Pledging continued support to the Palestinians, Al-Houthi underlined that the Yemeni nation has chosen the path of honor and dignity, unlike some others who have chosen the option of surrender and silence in the face of Israel’s crimes against Palestinians and attacks on Islamic sanctities.
“Our military operations against Israel, including missile launches, the use of drones, and the naval blockade, are on a steady and escalating path, which will continue as long as Israeli crimes against Palestinians continue,” he said.
