The Jail Bharo Tehreek and hunger strike till death came to an end late on Monday night after the families of the missing Shia Muslims led by elderly father of missing rights activist Samar Abbas met Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi and Allama Ahmed Iqbal, the leaders of the protest movement at police stations and persuaded them to devise another course of protest instead of the current mode.
Accompanied by Allama Naqvi and Allama Ahmed Iqbal, they also visited the camp of the “Fast Unto Death” in Incholi where they requested Hassan Raza Sohail and Sagheer Abid and others to end their hunger strike till death.
At their request, these leaders announced an end to current phase of their protest movement. They said they would announce future course of action at a press conference today (Tuesday).
