Head of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati said Iran owes its security to the bravery of defenders of the Holy Shrines.
Velayati made the remarks Saturday in an article on beheading of the Iranian military advisor Mohsen Hojjaji by Daesh terrorist group in Syria.
He also condoled with the bereaved family of Hojjaji and all Iranians as well over the sad occasion.
Islamic Republic of Iran continues its policy in fighting terrorism, extremism and takfiri groups, he said.
The country owes its security, stability and peace to great martyrs like Hojjaji and commanders like Quds Force Commander Major General Qasem Soleimani.
Following a US strike against the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi), Daesh seized the opportunity to attack the Syrian troops deployed in the borders with Iraq in which Mohsen Hojjaji, an Iranian military advisor was taken hostage by the terrorist group Daesh and beheaded later on camera.
