Tehran, March 15 – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Thursday that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman is simple-minded and illusory who utters nothing but bitter words.
He made the remarks in reaction to Mohammad bin Salman’s interview with the US’ CBS TV, adding that his remarks are not worth answering, as he is a novice and illusory person who see politics only as ‘uttering of big words untimely and imprudently’.
“Iran respects all its neighbors and other countries in the world, irrespective of their military and economic power, and it has always thought of a strong, secure and stable region instead of a strong country,” he said.
Iran’s invitation to dialogue and compromise with regional states, especially certain ill-wishers and obstinate antagonists, is out of rationality and prudence and originates from its knowledge, experience and ancient culture, as it takes into account the interests of the Islamic world and regional peace, stability and security.
Describing Saudi crown princes’ empty and fanatic words as reminiscent of primitive ignorance, he said that if the young prince thinks like this, how is it that he goes to his masters and complains about Iran's threat and every time he returns empty-handed.
It is better for a country which has been brought to its knees by a besieged, weaponless and defenseless nation no to speak of its army and economy, get busy buying ‘beautiful arms’, remain importer of security and be careful about his words before a powerful country such as Iran, Qasemi said.
