The ruling Al Khalifa regime in Bahrain is not able to suppress the people’s uprising and it has reached a dead end, a senior Bahraini cleric said on Saturday.
“Manama has reached a dead end and it has been proven that Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Ahmed Qassim (the spiritual leader of Bahrain revolution) is right,” the representative of Sheikh Isa Qassim in Iran, Sheikh Abdullah Daqqaq told Tasnim, pointing to the continued popular protests in the Arab country in support of Sheikh Qassim and against the ruling regime.
Sheikh Daqqaq said that despite increase of Al Khalifa regime pressures and execution verdicts against Sheikh Isa Qassim supporters, Bahraini people still support the spiritual leader of their revolution.
The cleric referred to the consequences of Al Khalifa crack down on peaceful protesters and said that such measures will only increase the current gap between people and the Bahraini ruling regime.
Bahrain, a close ally of the US in the Persian Gulf region, has been witnessing almost daily protests against the ruling Al Khalifa dynasty since early 2011, with Manama using heavy-handed measures in an attempt to crush the demonstrations.
