Speaker of the Iraqi parliament Salim al-Jabouri urged Islamic states to continue support of the Palestinian people.
Addressing the 13th Session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC members (PUIC) which was held today in Tehran, Al-Jabouri condemned president Trump's decision to relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Beit-ul-Moqaddas.
He referred to Quds as one of the most important challenges, saying it demands resolute measures to be taken to support Palestinians.
He also urged Muslim countries to try to reach a common view and a solution in fighting security and regional challenges.
We have to spare no effort to develop potentials under the shadow of peace, he said.
Today, Iraq is celebrating the victory against Daesh terrorists and is being prepared for holding parliament election and also for returning refugees to the country, he added.
Islamic countries are trying to bring back peace to the region, al-Jabouri noted.
Problems in Yemen and other countries will bring negative consequences for the region, he said urging international bodies to support civilians.
