Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that enemy has always been looking forward to setting a blow to the Iranian nation or penetrate their stands.
The Supreme Leader made the remarks in his weekly meeting with a number of martyrs' families in Tehran on Tuesday.
'As for the recent days' developments [in the country], enemies have been united to create problems for the Islamic system by using various means they had including money, weapons, politics and security apparatus,' Ayatollah Khamenei said while commenting on recent days protests in Iran which in some parts turned violent due to enemies provocations.
'The spirit of courage, devotion and faith of the Iranian nation is a big hurdle preventing the enemies to show their hostilities, the Leader said.
'The fact is that the enemies have always been looking forward to finding a chance to set a blow to Iranian nation and make a way to their stands,' Ayatollah Khamenei added.
'I have a lot more to say about these developments but will share them with our dear people in a due time,' the leader added.
The Iranian nation will be grateful to devotion of martyrs who dedicated their lives in the fight against enemy who was supported of the West, East and reactionary states in the region,' Ayatollah Khamenei said.
Referring to regrettable situation of some countries in the West Asia and North Africa, the Leader said, 'If during the [Iraqi] imposed war against Iran, the Baathi regime [of Baghdad] had found a foot step in Iran, they would have had no merci and would have created a much worse crisis than those in Libya and Syria.'
