A senior Iranian cleric condemned on Friday Israeli regime's atrocities against defenseless Palestinians cocriticizing the Islamic and Arab countries for keeping mum over the brutal suppression, torture and killing of Palestinians.
'The Islamic World should show reaction to these crimes, because they (Palestinians) are Muslims,' Tehran's provisional Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ahmad Khatami said.
He said that the history of negotiations with the Zionist regime shows that a compromise with Tel Aviv rulers is not only a 'strategic mistake' but also an 'ultimate betrayal' of the cause of Palestine.
At least 21 people have been killed by the Isreaeli occupying forces since Palestinians started Land Day protests last Friday, dispatches said.
Ayatollah Khatami also referred to Saudi Arabia's invasion of Yemen and its silence toward the Israeli regime's crimes against Palestinians and said, 'this regime is an accomplice of the Zionist regime crimes,'
The senior cleric derided the Saudi crown prince's threatening rhetoric against Iran, saying, 'even their master, the US, cannot do a damn thing against Iran.'
