The US is trying to save Daesh terrorist group from Syria and Iraq and move them to Afghanistan, the Iranian minister of defense told his Afghan counterpart during a phone call.
'After the hefty defeat in Syria and Iraq, the US is trying to transfer Daesh to Afghanistan to justify its presence in the country through Daesh's crimes, said Brigadier General Amir Hatami, according to a Sunday report.
General Hatami said, 'The Americans have proved that they are enemies to Muslims; the announcement of the Holy Quds as the capital of the Zionist regime uncovered another layer from the US hypocritical face and its animosity toward the Muslim World.'
Saying that the only way to restore peace in Afghanistan is through positive approach of the regional counties, he informed Afghan Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Tariq Shah Bahrami that the recent terror attacks in Afghanistan saddened the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the government, the armed forces and the people of Iran.
He also said that Afghanistan is very important for Iran, and Iran has tries its best to reduce the sufferings of the Afghans.
The Afghan defense minister said that the enemies of the Afghanistan are the enemies of humanity and Iran alike.
'There are twenty active terrorist groups in Afghanistan now; if left alone, the region's security will face serious crises.'
He also called for closer ties between defense ministries of the two countries.
