The members of the Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Abuja Chapter have joined their counterparts across the nation to commemorate the demise of Iranian Revolutionary leader Late Imam Khomeini (Q.S) with humanitarian visit to Maitama General Hospital and donated gift items to patients on Friday 02 June 2017.
Speaking to Pointer Express correspondent Chairman of AFIMIN Engr. Abdullahi Musa said the purposed of their visit was to emulate the teaching of late Ayatollah Khomeini (Q.S) whom he describe as a philanthropist, symbol of peace, unity, human right activist and the hero who fought for the liberation of defenseless less privilege in the world.
Responding to the members of AFIMIN on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, the compound officer Mrs Adesola expressed her special appreciation with the kind gestures and appealed to other organizations that God touches their heart to donate gift items to needy ones, which she described as “God Rewarding”.
In his remarks at the visits the co-convener of coalition for the defense of Democracy, Mr. Ario Daro Atoye said it was very good impression for the members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria whom people have bad impression of being violent and lawlessness in conducting their activities, adding that the visit was worth commending and whosoever had wrong impression about IMN has to rethink.
Mr. Ario Daro also appealed to the Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbanjo being an officer in the temples of justice to use good of your office to obey the order of the Federal High Court Abuja and release leader of the Islamic Movement Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, his wife, followers, Sambo Dasuki, Ifeanyi Ubah and other prisoners of conscience who are currently under illegal detention and pay them compensation.
Other dignitaries who attended the visit was the philanthropist and Chairman of the Imam Mahdi Center For Global Peace, Alhaji Mohammad Ibrahim Gamawa who contributed immensely to the activities of AFIMIN Abuja.
