Iran does not control Resistance but just supports it, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem said on Saturday.
Naim Qassem made the remarks in a meeting held in southern Beirut to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
He also urged Persian Gulf Littoral States to extend the hand of friendship towards Iran for the sake of their own interests and also the interests of the region.
It would be to the benefit of the regional countries to be with regional powers, Sheikh Qassem said, adding that Iran is helping to maintain security, peace and stability in the region.
Elsewhere in his remarks, top Hezbollah official warned Arab leaders of the US and Israel, and said that the US just aims to destroy their countries.
