TEHRAN: Brig. Gen. Salami, the Deputy Commander in Chief of IRGC said “as the regional upheavals unfolded, the enemy suffered defeat against our zealous youth.”
The Deputy Commander of IRGC Brigadier General Hossein Salami attended a ceremony of victory and resistance in Fatima Masumeh Shrine and said “as the regional upheavals unfolded, the enemy was defeated by our zealous youth and the revolutionary youth learned, for his part, the culture of resistance and victory over the enemy.”
Underlining the western sociologists’ forewarning about the spread of Islam throughout Europe, he went on “the enemy was after thwarting our progress through supporting and strengthening Takfiri groups, thereby presenting a distorted, detestable image of Islam to the world.”
“The dominion of Takfiri groups is undermined today, but their thought still exists. Taking into account the policies adopted by the enemy, such groups might spring up at other spots in the world,” he added.
Asserting that Iran wields authority thanks to strong resistance offered by its people, he said “we are prepared to defend the achievements of the revolution such as our independence, territorial integrity and national and religious identity.”
“The enemy has faced our formidable challenge and we advise them to respect the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” added the deputy commander in chief of IRGC.
“The enemy will face nothing but defeat in return for hostility toward the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he concluded.
