Iran's senior cleric on Friday urged all Muslim states and rulers to pay due attention to safeguard the security and interests of the Islamic Ummah (nations).
'The Islamic world should be vigilant as was mentioned by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in his message to the Hajj pilgrimage,' Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said during his speech at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla (grand mosque) in Tehran on the occasion of the Eid-ul Adha (the Feast of Sacrifice).
Eid-ul Adha is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year and falls on the 10th day Hajj. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismaeel, as an act of obedience to God's command.
The day is the peak of the Hajj pilgrimage, during which pilgrims scarify sheep and cattle.
World's bullying powers, the Zionists in particular, are responsible for the present state of insecurity, massacre of Muslims and causing economic problems for Muslim world, said the senior cleric.
Ayatollah Kashani called on all nations to urge their governments to maintain their rights, security, property, lives and dignity.
He also urged the elites, Friday prayer leaders and writers from all over the Muslim world to talk about rights of their nations.
'It is a religious duty for the elites to talk about current situation created by the Zionists and their allies in Palestine, Yemen, Syria and other Muslim countries and to make all governments understand the present situation,' said the cleric.
He added the Zionist regime measures have hindered security of the Islamic world in all spiritual, political and economic arenas.
Ayatollah Kashani said that mass media could also play a pivotal role in informing other countries about the Zionists atrocities.
Meanwhile, in a message on this year's Hajj, Ayatollah Khamenei said on Thursday, 'Today, the world of Islam is suffering from insecurity: moral, spiritual and political insecurity. The main factor behind this is our negligence and the brutal invasion of the enemies. We Muslims have not carried out our religious and our rational duties in the face of the invasion of the vicious enemy. We forgot to be both 'Strong against unbelievers' and 'Compassionate among one another' [The Holy Quran, 48: 29].'
'The result of this is that the Zionist enemy is provoking sedition in the heart of the world of Islam's geography while by ignoring the definite duty of saving Palestine, we Muslims are busy with domestic wars in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya and Bahrain and with confronting terrorism in Afghanistan, Pakistan and the like,' Supreme Leader added.
