Chairman of the Global Assembly for the Islamic Awakening Ali Akbar Velayati underlined that usurping Palestine is a repetitious demand that was raised by the crusaders.
Addressing a seminar on the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque after the victories of the Axis of Resistance, Velayati said the line of compromise on Palestine is no longer valid.
He said west Asia, including Syria, Lebanon and Palestine are under sensitive conditions and any negligence for a day will bring about one year of retardation.
'Our forces should be in Iraq and Syria so as to defend the integrity and unity of Islam; in the absence of Iran no country can hold the flag for keeping stability in the region.'
'Over the recent years, our region's name has changed into west Asia from the Middle East and this is a kind of campaign against the culture of colonialism. West Asia has always been the heart of the world of Islam.'
As for Iraq parliamentary elections, Velayati said the elections will be held based on the law and at due time.
On Syria, he said the colonialists were defeated in Syria, but 'we should not be negligent and if we keep silent the same will happen in our own country.'
On the recent visit of a Hamas delegation to Iran, Velayati said that Hamas envoy had told him that they have pinned hopes on Iran and the line of resistance.
He said Hamas had thanked Iran for taking side with Qatar in its war against Saudi Arabia, thus preventing the collapse of Qatar.
