Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi here on Monday said the US' deep-rooted hostility towards Iranian nation never comes to an end.
Addressing a local gathering, Commander Mousavi said, 'US hostility towards Iran has existed since the victory of 1979 Islamic Revolution and even before it.'
To a question about US President Donald Trump and several American officials' support for recent protests in Iran, triggered by several anti-revolution elements, he said the US has so far resorted to any measures to strike a heavy blow to Iran, but it has been defeated and would be overpowered in the future, too.
After some Iranians took to the streets to protest against unemployment and high prices, and, with the provocation of certain foreign and anti-Islamic Revolution media, some elements penetrated the lines of protestors to drive the peaceful protests towards violence; Trump overtly supported the rioters in several tweets.
