Senior Advisor to the Iranian Parliament Speaker Hossein Amir Abdollahian strongly condemned the efforts underway by the Israeli regime to Judaize al-Aqsa mosque in Beit-ul-Moqaddas.
"The Muslim world should take concrete measures to prevent the Judaizing of the first Qiblah of the Muslim world," Amir Abdollahian said.
The top advisor reiterated that following the recent visit of US President Donald Trump to the occupied land on the threshold of the 50 anniversary of the occupation of the Eastern part of the holy Qods, the Israeli regime is impudently trying to Judaize the holy Qods.
Amir Abdollahian, meantime, criticized the efforts of a limited number of Arab countries to normalize relations with Israel, and said Palestine will be liberated through continued resistance, unity among Palestinian groups, supports of Muslim countries and their people in the region with reliance on Almighty Allah.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran is to continue its firm support for the axis of resistance and the oppressed Palestinian nation," the top advisor said.
In relevant remarks in late May, Amir Abdollahian in a meeting with UN representative in Tehran Gary Lewis called on the international body to play its crucial role in restoring stability to the region.
"The United Nations is expected to play a more active role in promoting regional peace and stability," Amir Abdollahian said.
Amir Abdollahian said that West Asia region's situation is getting more aggravated and the problems are getting so complicated that diplomatic solutions become harder and harder.
The top advisor, meantime, voiced his concern over the situation in Bahrain, and said, "Bahraini government's recent move against the senior cleric Sheikh Isa Qassim, which happened in the wake of Trump’s trip to the region, has aggravated regional situation and no information is available about the fate of the prominent scholar."
Amir Abdollahian also pointed to a statement signed by over 190 Iranian MPs in protest to the verdict passed against the senior Bahraini cleric, and said that the religious figure does not belong to Bahrain alone and the US is expected to fulfill its duties well to honor respect of the religious scholars.
