President Trump's decision to relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Beit-ul Moqaddas has violated Palestinian peace talks, a senior Iranian cleric said.
'Trump's act has infuriated not only Muslims, but US allies as well,' Tehran interim Friday Prayers Leader Ayatolllah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami said Friday addressing the worshippers at Tehran University.
'Palestine has been occupied for about 70 years during which the global arrogance always supported occupation,' he said.
'The US democrats and republicans have both sponsored the cruel occupation,' he added.
He urged the world to stand against clear aggression on Palestinians.
'US president's recent act has been widely slammed even by US allies,' Ayatollah Khatami noted.
He also demanded continuation of these protests until the full retreat of the Zionists.
Ayatollah Khatami went on to say that Intifada is the only solution to Palestine crisis.
US president Wednesday announcement to recognize Beit-ul Moqaddas as the capital city of Israel has faced extensive criticisms all over the world even from US allies.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khatami referred to Iranian General Qasem Soleimani recent act to refuse opening CIA letter, saying they confessed that they had written a letter to him.
CIA Director Mike Pompeo said Saturday that he sent a letter to a top Iranian military official claiming that the United States would hold Tehran accountable for any attacks conducted on American interests in Iraq, according to Washington Post.
