Tehran, June 5, IRNA – The ceremonies to mark Imam Khomeini’s 28th death anniversary were held in Kazakhstan, South Korea and Britain on Sunday.
In the ceremony attended by Iranian expatriates in Kazakhstan, Iran’s ambassador to Astana Mojtaba Damirchiloo delivered a speech on psychological characteristics of the late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini.
In a similar gathering in Seoul, South Korea, Iran’s ambassador Hassan Taherian said that the Islamic Revolution victory, ending the 2,500 years of kingdom in Iran, owes to Imam's firm beliefs and his trust in the people.
Meanwhile, in London, the head of Islamic Center of England Sheikh Mohammad Ali Shomali in the comemoration ceremony described Imam Khomeini’s disciples, like the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as one of his major achievements who were successful both in scientific and political spheres.
Also, Deputy head of the Center for research Sheikh Mohammad Saeed Bahmanpour pointed to the youth’s support of the late Imam as a divine blessing and described his belief in the integration of religion and politics as one of Imam Khomeini’s characteristics that distinguishes him from other religious scholars of his time, saying that he encouraged them to use the politics in the peoples' favor.
