Secretary General of Hezbollah resistance movement Hassan Nasrallah said on Friday the United States is running oil and gas war over the region where Syria and Lebanon are located.
'The US runs the oil and gas battle in the region,' Lebanese media Al Manar quoted Nasrallah saying on the martyrdom anniversary of Hezbollah leaders.
'The Zionist entity launched the battle over Block 9 since there are reports about huge quantities of oil in the occupied Golan,' he said.
'Numerous reports have been published on huge Syrian oil wealth and that is one of the causes of the conflict in Syria.'
'Today the oil wealth in the South like the rest of Lebanon’s wealth is the property of all the Lebanese and will be in the fund of all Lebanon,' he added.
Elsewhere in his remarks the Hezbollah leader slammed US measures and said, 'The US wants to give us our basic right, the land, to take our hard right, water.'
Referring to the unity among Lebanese people, Nasrallah said, 'In Lebanon, we are united and we have the capabilities, we are strong, and we must negotiate from a strong base, we can threaten Israel.'
'Syrian defenses last week downed an Israeli F16 jet in a qualitative military achievement,' he said referring to shooting down of the Zionist regime's fighter jet on Feb 10 in Golan Heights. The pilot and co-pilot were seriously injured.
'The decision to shoot down the plane was taken by the Syrian leadership and President Bashar al-Assad, and the Syrian officers, soldiers executed the order.'
Revealing US support of the Zionist regime, he said, 'Some $3 billion is the amount of aid allocated to Israel by the Pentagon, their aircrafts are available to the Israeli enemy but forbidden to Lebanon.'
Nasrallah also congratulated Iran on the Islamic Revolution’s anniversary saying, 'We are proud allies of Iran. Tehran does not interfere in Lebanese affairs at all.'
