The Army is ready to thwart any type of enemy's threats, Iranian top military commander said on Tuesday.
“No threat exists against our country from military aspect,” said Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari while addressing a local gathering in the northwestern province of Kurdestan.
'Not only the US, but also any other enemy that seeks to make a hostile move against the country, will be given a crushing and firm response,' he added.
'As was mentioned by the Supreme Leader, America can't do a damn thing against the Islamic Iran,' said the military commander noting that such belief has been institutionalized among all armed forces of Iran.
Commenting on recent unrests in Iran, the commander said that the nation follows the guidelines of the Leader and has separated his way from those who follow enemies' orders.
After some Iranians took to the streets to protest against unemployment and high prices last week, the protests turned violent in some cases due to the provocation of certain foreign states.
Certain elements penetrated the lines of protestors to drive the peaceful protests towards violence. The US President Donald Trump has overtly supported the rioters in several tweets.
