The protests by Palestinians in recent days against Trump's move to recognize the occupied Beit ul-Muqaddas as the capital of the Zionist regime points to the beginning of another Palestinian Intifada (uprising), said the Hamas representative in Lebanon.
'The Palestinians will not give in,' Ali Barakah told the Islamic Republic News Agency during a recent exclusive interview.
Barakah described as a 'crime' and 'aggression' the recognition of the holy Al Quds (Jerusalem) by US President Donald Trump, saying his decision buried the peace process.
'The Palestinian people gave their negotiators an opportunity to engage in talks,' he said, 'But today, the Palestinians are clearly showing their protest against the peace process,' he added.
By making such a decision, Trump demonstrated that Washington shares the atrocities and aggressions committed by Tel Aviv.
'I think that the US president was wrong in its prediction as he was of the view that following his recognition of Beit ul-Muqaddas as the Zionist capital, the Palestinians will not show any reaction, and that he will go on with his decision without any serious objections,' the Hamas official said.
Barakah said that today both the Arab and Muslim Worlds, from Mauritania to Tehran, Malaysia and Indonesia to the Arab capitals all are unanimous to oppose Trump's decision.
'Palestinians are not going to give in and they will not allow [Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu to go on with his plot to completely judize the holy Al Quds till 2020,' he said.
The new Intifada will affect both Palestine and the Arab nations, he added.
